WYG International Limited has recently been selected to tender for the project “Institutional Capacity Building of the Egyptian Water Regulatory Agency (EWRA) Phase II, Egypt”. WYG International Limited Recruits Water Quality Expert
The objective of the project is to contribute to the development of sustainable world class water and wastewater services in Egypt, through providing the development basis for the Egyptian Water Regulatory Agency to become an effective economic and drinking water quality regulator.
The location of the project will be in Cairo, and will commence in March 2011 for a period of 24 months.
We are currently looking for an experienced Water Quality Expert with the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications & Skills:
University degree in chemistry and/or microbiology or any other relevant field;
At least 15 yeras experience in water-related work on quality of water management;
At least 10 years work experience in or for a European water regulator agency in the areas of water quality evaluation;
At least 5 years international experience of regulatory capacity building;
Practical experience in areas related to water quality, operation and maintenance and institutional strengthening of water organisations;
Sound experience in water quality management of and preparing reports on drinking water quality and environment friendly waste water treatment;
A track record in providing on the job training, coaching and mentoring;
Fluent in English;
Good presentation and computer skills;
Overall sound experience in drinking water treatment experience.

The project is designed to address key constraints to improving Egypt’s trade environment while providing support to Egypt in fulfilling its commitments under the strategic economic partnership. Responsibilities include: lead all aspects of contract performance, provide technical guidance, and represent the contract’s activities to outside audiences. The chief of party will be responsible for day-to-day operational oversight and administration of the program and will supervise technical staff.
